Chicago Brass Band Competes in the US Open - 11/3/12
The Chicago Brass Band made an impressive debut in its first ever trip
to the US
Open Brass Band Championships. The tenth annual edition of the US Open
was held November 3rd, 2012, at the Norris Cultural Arts Center in St.
The Chicago Brass Band took home the prize for "Best March" with a Whit
performance of Knight Templar. The band placed third in the Music
caption and fourth
place overall in the contest, America's premiere "entertainment-style"
brass band contest.
The band performed in a variety of configurations, delivering a program
on the theme of
"Night," as narrated by British brass legend Frank Renton:
