CBB plays at Chicago Brass Festival with Chris Martin

On Saturday, March 10th, at 2:00pm, the Chicago Brass Band performed at the
2012 Chicago Brass Festival at Northeastern Illinois University. The CBB joined
by guest soloist Chris Martin, principal trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Chris Martin -- holder of perhaps the most prestigious chair in the orchestral brass world
-- performed works by Philip Sparke and Bruce Broughton accompanied by the band.

Additionally, the CBB debuted the two major works to be playing at the North
American Brass Band contest later this month in Cincinnati, including Philip Wilby's "Masquerade," considered one of the most difficult works in the brass band repertoire.

Thank you to all who came out! The crowd is slowly
growing in popularity every year and we appreciated very much.

The CBB was proud to be on the same stage as Chris Martin.

Thank you Chris!
