The Chicago Brass Band Celebrated its 10th Anniversary

In its first decade, the Chicago Brass Band has won the North American
Brass Band Association Championship, competed in the inaugural World
Music Contest in The Netherlands, participated in the renowned Whit Friday
Marches in England, and dazzled a packed hall at the prestigious Midwest Clinic.

On Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 7:30p, the Chicago Brass Band celebrated
these first ten years with a special concert marking their 10th anniversary. The
concert was held at the Gorton Center, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL.

The concert's first half featured pieces significant to the band's history, including
an item performed with band alumni. In the concert's second half, the band
previewed the program it is preparing for its first-ever entry in the upcoming
US Open contest.

Following the concert, concert goers joined band members and alumni
for a light reception while browsing a display honoring the band's first ten years.
