Robert decided to play the trumpet at a very early age, desiring to follow in the footsteps of his father. A Doc Severinsen concert when Robert was 11 cemented this decision. Robert counts Linda Aurand, Robert Bright, and Steven Goforth as his primary teachers. He grew up in Oklahoma, but moved to Texas for college. While there, Robert performed with the Dallas Civic Wind Ensemble, Heritage Brass Band, Allen Philharmonic, and New Life Symphony. He was a founding member of the Dallas branch of the Millennial Choirs and Orchestra, as well as the Legacy Brass Quintet.

Robert currently works for HP Inc, and when he isn’t tooting his own horn, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
