Brad is a founding member of the Chicago Brass Band. He grew up in Western Pennsylvania, but came to Illinois by way of Northwestern University where he majored in music education. He also has a master’s degree in music education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. He currently teaches 4-8 grade band in Waukegan, IL and resides in Mundelein, IL.

As current Sergeant First Class (E-7) with the 132nd Wisconsin Army National Guard Band and a former active duty army bandsman, Brad has performed for many military, government, and civilian functions in the U.S. and Germany. On the civilian side, he also plays trombone in the Northshore Concert Band based in Glenview, IL.

Brad has been a featured soloist with Chicago Brass Band on numerous occasions and has competed in the North American Brass Band Association Low Brass Solo Competition where he took 1st place in the technical section in 2004, and placed 2nd or 3rd on several other occasions. One of his pet peeves are musicians who don't know the difference between and baritone and a euphonium! In his free time Brad likes to travel, camp, hike, ski, and visit family in PA and Arizona.
